For better or for worse, Donald Trump is once again squaring off against Joe Biden in the upcoming presidential election. That means he is in the spotlight more than ever, giving all of us plenty of time to scrutinize almost everything about his life.
While most people have been focusing on Trump’s many legal dramas, we have been more fascinated by his relationship with his son, Barron. That has led us to an inescapable conclusion: these two might have the weirdest possible relationship.

Donald Trump is jealous of his son’s height?
Donald Trump has always been proud of his height. If you have any doubts about that, just look at how much he enjoys looming over his political opponents in public. Now that Barron Trump has gotten so much taller, though, Donald has to deal with something unexpected: his son looming over him!
And depending on who you talk to, he’s not really happy about the arrangement. In an interview with MSNBC, Michael Wolff elaborated on his claims that Trump didn’t want his son to be taller than him. “He never lets himself be in a photograph with someone taller than he is. Height is one of his techniques,” he said, further fueling rumors that Donald isn’t pleased at his son now being the taller man.

Sometimes, the two dress like each other
Like many young men, Barron Trump seems to have many different kinds of styles. Sometimes, he looks hilariously underdressed compared to his fancy father and mother. Other times, he dresses up in a way that is likely to give you some fashion flashbacks.
You see, when Barron Trump dresses up, he often dresses like his dad. On at least one occasion, they dressed exactly alike. At the funeral for Donald’s first wife Ivana Trump, he and his son rocked matching suits. To this day, we’re not sure if Barron actually likes imitating his dad or simply feels pressured to do so by his famous father.
Barron didn’t help select his dad as presidential nominee
The most recent bit of drama between Donald and Barron Trump occurred earlier this year. In a weird gesture meant to be an honor, Barron was made a delegate on behalf of his father by the Republican National Convention. In short, this meant that he could join other Florida delegates in voting for Donald Trump to run as the Republican presidential nominee.
Initially, Donald Trump seemed to support his son taking part in politics like this. However, Melania Trump soon stepped in and told everyone that while Barron would be honored to do this, he had prior commitments keeping him from doing so. This is perfectly plausible, of course, but some think Barron might deliberately be putting distance between himself and his dad ahead of the election.

The young man hates his dad’s loud music
Until Barron heads off to college somewhere, he and his dad live together in Mar-a-Lago. However, dear old dad seems to get on his son’s nerves for the most unexpected of reasons. According to The Mirror, Barron dished to some invited guests that Donald loves to play music at top volume throughout the house, causing the young man to retreat to his room.
It’s a funny story on its own, of course. But we can’t get over how inverted their whole relationship is. Normally, it’s the teenager who annoys his parents by blasting loud music, but the exact opposite is happening in the Trump household!
They both love fast food
When it comes to music, Donald and Barron Trump sound like they have very different tastes. However, they do share a rather literal taste for something: fast food. However, it seems like they favor different kinds of flavors.
Donald Trump’s love of fast food is quite genuine, and this is one of the reasons that he infamously had McDonald’s cater to the visiting Clemson football players after their championship victory in 2019. While Barron doesn’t love burgers quite as much (at least, not that we know of), Melania once revealed that her son loves a Starbucks frappuccino.
Honestly, this is one of the few times we’re on Donald Trump’s side compared to Barron. Push comes to shove, we’d rather eat our calories than drink them!

Barron seems awkward around his dad in public
Is Barron Trump anxious and awkward about appearing in public with his dad? That’s what body language expert Judi James disclosed to The Mirror. She claims that “we can see two different body language states when he accompanies his mother versus when he is with his father.”
At one point, she analyzed a holiday video of the father/son duo hanging out. According to her, “When Barron is with his father here though his signals of some awkwardness increase.” Whether this teen becomes more or less awkward around his dad in the coming months is something no expert–body language or other–can fully predict.
