35 Candid Prince Andrew Moments Caught On Camera

We have been watching Prince Andrew’s life falling apart in real-time. Ever since the 2010 photographic proof of his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, we have learned more about their disturbing friendship. We also saw alleged photographic evidence of his association with Virginia Giuffre, an American woman who accused the prince of sexually assaulting her when she was 17.

When you get right down to it, Prince Andrew is a man whose life and career have imploded thanks to a couple of candid moments caught on camera. Here is Prince Andrew’s life immortalized in a number of candid moments in photos and videos.

A prince is born

It’s a big deal when the Queen has a baby! Needless to say, news of Andrew’s birth was celebrated around the country on Feb. 19, 1960.

Prince Andrew has always been close to Queen Elizabeth. As you can see, they bonded when he was very young!

Hanging with the family

Andrew was allegedly a bit of a hellraiser growing up. Nonetheless, he was surrounded by the love and support of his family.

Andrew strikes a military pose

We mostly associate the Royal Navy with… well… boats! But in 1983, while at the Naval Air Station Portsmouth, Andrew struck a flattering pose in front of a helicopter.

Marriage to Fergie

In 1986, Andrew married Sarah Ferguson at Westminster Abbey. Before that, they were only engaged five months.

Andrew’s new job

After retiring from the Royal Navy, Andrew became the UK’s Special Representative for International Trade and Investment. He served in this capacity from 2001 to 2011.

Hanging with Epstein at Mar-a-Lago

Andrew understandably wants to downplay his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. But they certainly seem cozy in this photo where the two partied at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida in February 2000. The woman on the left is none other than Melania!

Partying with the Trumps, Epstein, and Maxwell

Of course, hanging at Mar-a-Lago meant getting some face time with Donald Trump and Melania Trump (then Knauss). Given the presence of both Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell in this photo, we’re sure the prince wishes this photo was never taken!

At the Royal Ascot with Epstein and Maxwell

At the Royal Ascot Race Meeting in June 2000, you can clearly see Andrew and Epstein. But the woman in green with her face blocked by her hat is none other than Ghislaine Maxwell, accused of sex trafficking for Epstein.

In mid-2019, the allegations against Andrew had not yet reached fever pitch. Here, we see him beside a smiling Queen Elizabeth during the Trooping the Color event.

Andrew’s bizarre defense

Andrew rotated through a series of strange defenses against the allegations of Virginia Giuffre. Here, in this November 2019 interview with the BBC, we see him saying her claims are not true because, somehow, the prince never sweats!

Things get worse

Andrew tried (and continues to try) to distance himself from associations with Epstein. This made things like this video proof of him entering Epstein’s New York City mansion in December 2010, after Epstein had become a registered sex offender, that much more damning.

Andrew steps down

In the wake of accusations by Virginia Giuffre that Andrew sexually assaulted her when she was underage, Andrew stepped back from royal responsibilities in 2019. This was likely damage control for the Royal Family, but it doesn’t seem to have worked that well.

Andrew becomes a grandfather

On Feb. 9, 2021, Andrew became a grandfather when Princess Eugenie gave birth to her son August Philip Hawke.

A prince in mourning

Despite his mounting scandals, Prince Andrew was alongside fellow Royal Family in August 2021 to mourn the death of Prince Philip.

Andrew gets sued

Virginia Giuffre made her initial accusations against Andrew back in 2015. But in August 2021, she filed a lawsuit against the prince for sexual assault and emotional distress.

The prince becomes an average citizen

In January 2022, Buckingham Palace confirmed that Andrew’s patronages and military affiliations had been revoked by the Queen. This meant that, should Andrew go to trial, it would be as a private citizen.

Andrew eager for trial

Initially, Andrew tried to have the case against him thrown out. When that didn’t work, he did a 180, filing paperwork that he “hereby demands a trial by jury on all causes of action asserted in the complaint.” Of course, the paperwork also clarified that Andrew was “expressly denying any and all wrongdoing.”

Andrew settles out of court

Despite seeming eager for a trial the month before, Andrew reached a settlement with Virginia Giuffre in February 2022. In addition to the settlement, Andrew apologized for his previous associations with Epstein and pledged to fight against sex trafficking and to help victims of trafficking in the future.
