Growing up, many of us were familiar with the comic and cartoon character Richie Rich. He was the self-proclaimed richest kid in the world, so we couldn’t help but imagine what it would be like to have so much cash at such a young age. However, some presidential children never had to imagine that kind of wealthy lifestyle because they were busy living it!
While not every American president is rich, most of the modern ones are. And they pass that wealth down to children who (both then and now) lives of fabulous luxury. Just who are we talking about and how fancy are they living? Keep reading to find out!
Ivanka Trump: from living large to living larger

Growing up as the daughter of a wealthy businessman, Ivanka Trump lived a pretty sweet life. Heck, just check out the video below: she not only had the kind of teenage room most girls would have killed to have at a young age…she also had the kind of view that most of us would kill to have now. She was the favorite kid of her famous father (and future president) Donald Trump, and he kept her nice and spoiled. Now, as an adult, she’s able to spoil herself!
After marrying real estate mogul Jared Kushner in 2009, they lived in a lavish New York apartment. When dear old dad went into politics, Ivanka and her hubby moved into a 8,200-square-foot house in an elite Washington, D.C. suburb. These days, they live in in a $24 million Miami mansion, where Ivanka spends her days focusing on being the most stylish (all designer clothing all the time, baby!) mother the South has ever seen.

George W. Bush’s daughters are living large

Back when George W. Bush was in the White House, his daughters occasionally generated headlines for their hard-partying ways. For example, Barbara Bush was busted for underage drinking in her college years, as was Jenna Bush (the latter of whom got mean-but-amusing nicknames like “Jenna and Tonic” for her drinking habits). But both of them cleaned up and did very well for themselves. Jenna, for example, married investment firm director Henry Hager in 2008, rocking an Oscar de la Renta dress; later, this stylish presidential daughter would land a high-paid job as a Today host and currently has a cozy home on Long Island.
As for Jenna, she doesn’t lead quite so much of a public life, but she had a very prominent wedding to Craig Coyne in 2018. It was an elegant affair where she rocked a Vera Wang dress, and she apparently couldn’t get enough of having a lavish day that was all about her. Before too long, the two threw a second wedding ceremony on her family’s luxurious private ranch. Not one but two expensive weddings, and to the same husband, no less? Nothing’s too good for George W. Bush’s little girl!
Chelsea Clinton: New York royalty

We all saw Chelsea Clinton growing up when her father was president. Back then, she was an awkward girl who was all braces and loose limbs. But even as she grew into a beautiful young woman, Bill Clinton’s daughter got very used to living the high life in the White House. And just like her famous mother and father, she found ways to continue her lavish lifestyle long after her White House days were behind her.
Back in 2010, she married Marc Mezvinsky in an especially posh ceremony: it took place in a 13,000-foot mansion, and she wore two (count’em, two!) Vera Wang gowns. A few years later, the two of them moved into a $10-million New York City apartment that takes up an entire block. While she doesn’t generate as many breathless headlines as she once did, it’s fair to say that Chelsea Clinton is absolutely living in luxury in the greatest city in the world!

Baron Trump: the real Richie Rich?

Earlier, we compared these spoiled presidential children to Richie Rich because of how fancy they live. But nobody has embraced the lux lifestyle of that famous comic character more than Baron Trump, who was living like Richie when he was more or less the character’s age. Growing up in New York City, he lived in a three-story apartment filled with marble and gold. If that’s not wild enough, he had one entire floor, all to himself.
Later, he moved with the family to the White House. He may have had less space there, but he had an army of loyal servants who would fetch him anything that he wanted. Now, Barron is out living his own life, which started with him enrolling in NYU. Considering how fancy he has lived his entire life, we can’t wait to see what his home looks like once he graduates and settles down!
