That’s because she has had some wild fashion fails over the years that make us wonder if she might end up our nation’s worst-dressed press secretary.

The bad dress went down to Georgia

If there’s one thing you need to know about Alina Habba’s fashion sense, i’s this: the lady loves leather. It’s pretty much her signature material, and to her credit, she’s rocked some great leather fits over the years. But she loves it so much that she wears it practically everywhere she goes, including places where it’s very inappropriate.

For example, she wore the leather dress above to a Donald Trump rally in Georgia. Given the state’s wild heat, she was already playing with fire by wearing something so warm. The dress was also a bit form-fitting, and it raised more than a few eyebrows in the conservative audience. And even those who didn’t think the outfit looked overly scandalous thought it looked overly informal…the kind of thing you wear to a boozy brunch with the gal’s and not, you know, one of your boss’s biggest events!

Leather legging fail

We weren’t kidding about Alina Habba’s love of leather…the more she appears in front of the camera, the more we are convinced that she has a closet full of nothing but leather. A great example of this is what she wore to a 2022 rally for Donald Trump. Your eyes aren’t deceiving you: look closely and you’ll see that she’s rocking some leather leggings.

Those leather leggings clashed with the suede boots and the rest of her outfit and basically ruined the whole look. Like, she would have been better off wearing almost anything, including an old pair of blue jeans. Here, the leather look is too informal and makes it seem more like she’s trying to emulate Buffy the Vampire Slayer than help get her boss elected.

Deeply unserious in a leather dress

On a sliding scale, Alina Habba’s outfits usually aren’t that bad. Instead, it would be more accurate to say that what makes these fits bad is that she brings very informal looks to very formal occasions. Perhaps the most infamous example of this is when she spoke at Donald Trump’s fraud trial. At first, it looks like she chose wisely, sporting a boucle blazer that makes her look like what she is: a high-powered lawyer.

However, underneath that sleek, chic blazer is another one of those ugly leather dresses she is fond of. You don’t have to be a fashionista to know this was a disaster, pairing clashing materials and clashing formalities. It looks for all the world like she doesn’t know whether she’s going to court or going to the club, which doesn’t exactly instill much confidence in her skills as a lawyer!

Showing the church way too much leg

Alina Habba is a very beautiful woman, and it’s no secret that she has used her beauty to help propel her career. Because of this, we understand her wearing more revealing clothes in certain situations. But her legendary inability to read a room often turns these attempts to be sexy into very tacky displays.

For example, in October 2024, she wore yet another fabric dress to a church event held in Tulsa, Oklahoma. What sets this outfit apart is that it puts the “mini” back in “minidress” and reveals enough of Habba’s legs that, if she had been a high school student, she would have been sent home to change her clothes. It seemed doubly inappropriate to wear to a conservative church event, and the outfit predictably caused a stir online.

Putting the “square” back in Madison Square Garden

Perhaps Alina Habba’s biggest fashion fail so far occurred when she appeared at Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally. With her red top, red pants, and red belt, she looked like conservatism personified. And if she had left things at that, this might be remembered as one of her cuter and bolder looks.

But she topped it all off with a bomber jacket (complete with sequins) that bore the phrase “MAGA” on it. It completely clashed with everything else and looks like one of the tackiest jackets ever made. Later, she took it off and told the crowd she wore it to “trigger Hillary Clinton,” but we’re convinced she was looking for any excuse to get rid of the jacket.
