Ever since she married Prince Harry, Meghan Markle has proven to be a lightning rod for controversy. Because of this, insults to her rarely stick…after all, it’s tough for a vicious insult to land when it’s just one insult out of countess royal barbs.
However, there is something about celebrity insults to Meghan that always sting, especially because Meghan spent so much of her life trying to become a successful Hollywood celeb herself. Just who are Meghan Markle’s most famous critics, and what did they have to say about the Duchess of Sussex? Keep reading to find out!
Donald Trump thinks Meghan “whipped” Harry
Many would argue that Donald Trump became President of the United States largely because he isn’t afraid to speak his mind. Trump doesn’t hesitate to tell others how he feels, and this most certainly applies to his views on both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
As CBS reports, Trump unloaded some of his wilder thoughts about Meghan Markle in an interview with Piers Morgan. Showing more restraint than usual, Trump noted “I won’t use the full expression, but Harry is whipped like no person I think I’ve ever seen,” concluding that “poor Harry is being led around by his nose.”
It’s already pretty bad that Trump publicly declared that Meghan Markle is leading Prince Harry around as if he is a dog. To make matters worse, Trump also claimed that Queen Elizabeth should have stripped their titles away while she was still alive. All we can say is this: ouch!

Chris Rock believes Meghan likes to play the victim
Legendary comedian Chris Rock has built a career on finding the humor within uncomfortable situations. And in Meghan Markle’s case, Rock found plenty of humor surrounding Meghan’s bombshell revelation that an unnamed member of the Royal Family expressed concerns over her unborn son’s skin color.
As Insider reports, Rock was hard on Meghan during his Netflix Comedy special Chris Rock: Selective Outrage. “That’s not racist because even Black people want to know how brown the baby going to be,” he said. Continuing, the comedian joked that Meghan herself “hit the light-skin lottery” and should have known she was marrying into a racist family.
Wendy Williams mocked Meghan’s postpartum depression
Wendy Williams has made an entire career out of casting shade towards the rich and the famous. For better or for worse, this is what fans of The Wendy Williams Show usually tuned in to see, though she saved her biggest dig at Meghan in an interview with ITV. There, her fans most certainly got what they wanted when the talk show host decided to criticize Meghan Markle’s postpartum depression.
Previously, Williams had offered mild criticism towards Meghan’s decision to cut her father, Thomas Markle, out of her life. But she really had the claws out in this interview: as ET reports, Williams reacted to news of Meghan having postpartum depression by saying “Meghan Markle, nobody feels sorry for you, you knew what you were signing up for, girl.” Between this and her later comments directly to ET about how “I think they’ll be divorced within three years,” it’s clear she has no love for this particular royal.\

Megyn Kelley claims Meghan is completely unrelatable
Every now and then, celebrity criticism of Meghan Markle resonates with people because the celeb says something that countless others around the world are thinking. This was certainly true when Megyn Kelley expressed her frustration at how Meghan’s various words and actions often made her completely unrelatable to the very people she was trying to impress.
She shared some of these thoughts on X (formerly known as Twitter) as she took a swipe at both Harry and Meghan. “M & H pretend that no royal has had it worse in the press than they have. Give me a break. Have you ever seen such privileged people wallowing in their own (perceived) victimhood like this?”
Later, Kelly appeared on Good Morning Britain and argued something very similar. Speaking specifically about Harry and Meghan’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, Kelley said “peppered with compliments of herself while she was making these complaints that will be totally unrelatable to 99% of people.” Calling Meghan a spoiled one-percenter? Honestly, it’s hard for most people to disagree!
Howard Stern says Meghan is a whiny fame-seeker
Howard Stern is famous (some would say infamous) for the scathing criticisms he has made of famous figures. He hasn’t been afraid to tell the world what he thinks about Donald Trump, for example, and he was similarly fearless when he called out both Meghan Markle and Prince Harry for being hypocritical and whiny fame-seekers.
As Page Six reports, Stern took to his Sirius XM show to call the royal couple “whiny b****es” and claim that Meghan “wants to be beloved in this country.” Continuing, he noted how odd it was “to see two people who keep screaming, ‘We wanted our privacy, we wanted the press to leave us alone,’ and then what is their special that they put out on Netflix? Showing you them and their kids and their life.” With a brutal zinger, he concluded that “It’s like the Kardashians except boring” and predicted that Harry would eventually leave Meghan.
