What if everyone told you that you were crazy, but then you just kept getting vindicated?
That has to be what it feels like for Meghan Markle these days. When she and Harry stepped down as working royals and left the country, they did so in large part because of how Meghan was being treated by family members as well as tabloids. Speaking of the tabloids, they quickly dubbed this major move “Megxit” in their quest to blame Meghan Markle for yet another thing.
However, since Meghan left England, the public has seen how wild the Royal Family can be, especially when more details emerged about Prince Andrew’s connections with Jeffrey Epstein. It seems that Meghan got away from the Royal Family just in time. And now, King Charles’ own cousin has confirmed that Meghan was driven away from the country through a regular royal hazing ritual.
Just what is this ritual? How did it affect Meghan, and who else has been targeted? Keep reading to find out!
Royal hazing rituals revealed
Our information about this alleged royal hazing comes from a very reputable source: Christina Oxenberg, third cousin to King Charles himself. Over the years, she has had a front-row view of how the Royal Family treats new members. And it is not pretty by any means!
As Page Six reports, Oxenberg claimed that members of the Royal Family “are tough, they are tough on foreigners. It’s not about your skin color, it’s about being a foreigner.” Based on her infamous interview with Oprah, we think Meghan might dispute the idea that this hazing is not about skin color.
Oxenberg detailed how the family has done this to new members for years, but they seem to particularly have it out for Meghan. And her advice to Meghan is basically to wait things out until the family finds someone else to pick on!

Meghan’s ‘hellish hazing’
In describing how the Royal Family hazed Meghan, Oxenberg didn’t mince words. As the Daily Star reports, she said, “To Meghan Markle, I say, ‘What you are going through is a hellish kind of hazing.’” Continuing, she said,“If she can just hang in there, someone else will come along who can take the heat. Nobody gets a pass.”
At a glance, this advice may sound a bit trite. After all, “just hang in there” is the advice we normally associate with hanging cat posters rather than a member of royalty.
However, the real essence of Oxenberg’s advice is fairly bleak. What she is saying is that it is impossible for the Royal Family to ever stop this “hellish hazing.” As such, Meghan may be able to just keep her head low and wait for them to find their next victim.
In fact, before Meghan, Kate Middleton experienced hazing from the Royal Family herself!
Even Kate Middleton was hazed by the Royal Family
It’s not necessarily that surprising to learn that the Royal Family hazed Meghan. What was surprising, though, is that nobody over the years has been immune from this ritual. And that includes Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales and future Queen Consort of England!
As reported by Marca, the hazing of Kate Middleton began back when Prince William was first dating him. Oxenberg claimed that the Royal Family came up with a charming nickname to make fun of Kate’s modest background: “Kate Middle Class.”
Their mockery wasn’t limited to Kate herself, either. Allegedly, Camilla referred to Kate’s parents as “Meet the Fockers.” Interestingly, Oxenberg insists that no offense was necessarily intended by all this hazing. “They meant no disrespect; after all, she is the future queen of England.”

Oxenberg claims hazing Meghan is ‘treasonous’
This ongoing royal hazing is obviously both stupid and harmful. However, Oxenberg has another term for how the Royal Family has treated Meghan: “treasonous.”
As the Scottish Daily Express reports, she called the treatment “nothing short of ‘treasonous’” because of the simple fact that Harry chose her as his partner.
“She is Harry’s choice of wife,” Oxenberg said. “By their own metrics they have called it a class system. They came up with that system, [by which] you have to respect Harry’s choice.”
The Royal Family may be part of a class system. However, judging by these hazing stories, it seems they could use a bit more class themselves!
But this isn’t the first time class issues have gotten in the way of royal relationships. Just ask Prince Andrew.
Royal hazing disrupts relationships
As bad as Meghan’s hazing is, Prince Harry has stood by her side the entire time. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. And over the years, this royal hazing has actually disrupted relationships.
As reported by Page Six, Oxenberg noted how Queen Elizabeth personally put an end to Prince Andrew’s relationship with Koo Stark. Ostensibly, this was due to her prior appearance in softcore pornographic films. But given her humble background, and the fact that she was the first person to ever buy Prince Andrew a pair of blue jeans, this seems to have originated as a class issue.
This is unfortunate because as Oxenberg notes, “They were both really in love. They were soul mates, and he was prevented from marrying his soul mate. Had he married her, things would be different today.”
Instead, Prince Andrew went on to have a doomed marriage to Sarah Ferguson and a disgraceful association with Jeffrey Epstein. To hear Oxenberg tell it, Andrew might have led a different and much happier life if this royal hazing didn’t keep him from his own “happily ever after.”
