The Trump family is fascinating on many different levels. And that includes what they eat. Heck, we’re still a bit traumatized after learning what Donald Trump’s strange eating habits look like!
What about the rest of the family, though? As it turns out, Ivanka Trump has one of the most surprising daily diets out of the whole family. From health foods to melted cheese, here are the strange eating habits of Ivanka Trump.
Berries and cereal
They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And for Ivanka Trump, it’s an opportunity to start each day out right.
That’s why she prefers to eat berries and cereal for breakfast. She’s not afraid to go all out, either. As she told Fit Pregnancy, “Every morning I’ll have either cottage cheese or Greek yogurt — I do full fat; I prefer the taste — with a bowl of blueberries or raspberries and cereal.”
When she wants to change things up, she’ll add oatmeal to the mix. This is particularly fun for her children because they get to sprinkle oatmeal with fun toppings like berries, cinnamon, walnut, almond, and chia seeds.

Fish and vegetables
Ivanka is famous for her fit figure. And a key to maintaining such a figure is to make sure her lunches are healthy. On that front, she prefers to eat fish and veggies, especially when she has a Trump Grill lunch date with her daughter Arabelle.
She’s influenced her daughter to love things like salmon and veggies, although the kiddo usually gets strawberry ice cream as well. As for Ivanka, she has cheat days just like the rest of us.
As she told Harper’s Bazaar, “A few times it’s her having the salmon, and me having a cheese quesadilla,” even when doing so seems “inappropriate.”
Staying hydrated
Ivanka carefully monitors what she eats each day. But there is one area where she goes a bit overboard, and that’s staying hydrated.
Her main drink of choice is water, but she occasionally throws in some coffee (with half and half) or some Tazo passion tea. And how much liquid are we talking about? According to her Harper’s Bazaar interview, it is “an ongoing joke in the office that I never have less than three glasses of water and some form of tea or coffee in front of me.” It sounds like Ivanka has discovered the one “drinking problem” that actually makes you more healthy.

Organic produce
She didn’t always eat this healthy, but having a baby around the house was a game-changer for Ivanka. For example, she now has the perfect excuse to keep the fridge stocked with organic produce.
Keeping her children healthy is a major priority for Ivanka. And shopping for local produce has led to some unexpected bonding opportunities. As she told Fit Pregnancy, “Buying locally grown foods from the farmers market is a fun activity to do with Arabella.”
It’s good she’s supporting local markets, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see a Trump Produce store open any day now!
Keeping kosher
Ivanka enjoys a wide variety of foods. However, there is one thing that affects the entirety of her diet: her faith.
Ivanka converted to Judaism before marrying her husband Jared Kushner, and their faith affects what and how they eat. For example, she doesn’t eat any meat that isn’t kosher. She even cooks their regular Sabbath meal, which showcases how serious she is about her faith.
“Every Friday night, I spend three hours making a feast — including two entrées, like veal Marsala and spinach kugel,” Ivanka said in an interview with Oprah.com. “It’s basically Thanksgiving once a week, complete with leftovers for the weekend.”
Sounds like healthy eating throughout the week may just be making up for those wild weekends of eating!

Occasional eating out
While Ivanka is all about healthy home cooking, she still likes to eat out from time to time. This is especially true when she feels she needs a date night with Jared.
Sometimes, though, eating out with Jared is more a matter of business than pleasure. As she told Harper’s Bazaar, “Jared and I are out quite a bit at night — we’ll have dinners that are work related or dinners with friends.”
Whether it’s business or pleasure, though, she enjoys a good meal out, especially if it involves some of her favorite Italian restaurants.
Ivanka’s diet, then and now
Speaking of Italian foods, Ivanka didn’t always enjoy such a healthy lifestyle. She mentioned to Shape Magazine that she used to “eat like a teenager.” Specifically, she liked to wolf down “carbs three times a day usually in the form of pasta or pizza.”
Over time, Ivanka tried and rejected some health fads like cleanses. Instead, she found that she craved healthier food over time. In other words, her palate matured with her body, and now pizza is reserved for special occasions.
And we have to say, Ivanka’s utter hatred of juice cleanses (she told Shape, “For the eight hours that I lasted, I felt like I was on the brink of starvation”) may be the most relatable thing about her!

Salty and savory
With all her emphasis on healthy eating, you might think that Ivanka has a hidden sweet tooth. Surprisingly, she does not. Instead, she has a savory tooth!
This is something Ivanka actually chalks up to her heritage. She told Oprah.com, “Thanks to my Czech-German heritage, I can’t get enough of savory foods like stews, sausage, noodles, and anything that involves melted cheese.”
Ivanka is well aware, though, that this doesn’t mesh with her general healthy eating vibe. She told Oprah that the savory examples she mentioned are “not great choices from a dietary perspective, but at the end of a long day I feel like I’m entitled.”
