However, if you’ve been scoping out her Instagram as much as we have, you might have noticed a major change. For a long time now, this former presidential advisor’s IG has been largely apolitical. Now, though, there’s a major uptick in Ivanka Trump’s posts that showcase her famous father.

So, what did Ivanka Trump’s social media look like after she left the White House? Honestly, she looked a bit like any other celebrity mother. She takes the time to show off some particularly fetching fits from time to time, but most of the pics she posts focus on time spent with her family.

For example, there are birthday pics of the kiddos celebrating and pics of lavish vacations that she has taken with her husband, Jared Kushner. If you can discount the fact that she’s filthy rich, Ivanka’s old Instagram style is that of any other busy mother. Recently, though, her posting has changed in a way that is frankly impossible to ignore.

The transformation of Ivanka Trump’s social media profile

Now you know what Ivanka Trump’s old Instagram style looked like: that of a fit, fab mom and loving wife. What’s changed about her Instagram, then? To put it bluntly, the whole feed of her multiple accounts now has infinitely more Donald Trump than it once did.

For example, on X (formerly Twitter), she is posting pics of her rare appearance at the New York Stock Exchange in December 2024 to celebrate Donald being TIME’s person of the year. She also posted pics of daddy’s inauguration and the various parties that occurred afterward to celebrate his return to the White House. Heck, she even posted photos of the Superbowl which Donald attended and took to Instagram to describe him and Joe Rogan as “legends.”

Nothing is wrong with a daughter celebrating her dad’s major victories, political and otherwise. But considering how different the current content is compared to what came before, many can’t help but wonder if Ivanka Trump has an ulterior motive.

Is Ivanka trying to shut her biggest critics up?

Let’s say, for the sake of argument, that Ivanka Trump changed her social media posting style for a special reason. Just what could that reason possibly be? One major possibility is that she wanted to shut her critics up. Not her personal critics, mind you, but those who have tried to claim that she is no longer very supportive of her father.

Why would that narrative take hold? Well, Ivanka famously showed no interest in returning to the White House, even when Donald Trump announced his plans to run for president again. She was largely absent on the campaign trail, too, causing many to think she no longer cared about her dad’s political ambitions.

Therefore, by prominently posting social media featuring Donald Trump, she helps to kill this unflattering narrative before it goes any further. As a fun side benefit, though, she might just be securing a new future with this new administration.

Ivanka Trump’s future remains an open question

Since leaving the White House, Ivanka Trump has been content to mostly spend time with her family. And it’s possible that the change in her social media style is simply an extension of this idea…a way of spending time with her father digitally even if they don’t spend much time together physically.

However, another possible explanation for the change in posting is that Ivanka might be hoping her dad will reward her loyalty with another cushy presidential advising job. This would mean less time with her kids, of course, but the last time Ivanka worked with her dad, she and Jared Kushner left having made upwards of $640 million. Given that, we wouldn’t be surprised if Ivanka was willing to do it all again and secure the best possible future for herself, her children, and her husband.
