Recently, the unthinkable happened: Donald Trump, a former United States president, was arrested. There were dozens of felony charges, with most of them focusing on a $130,000 hush-money payment Trump made to Stormy Daniels, a pornstar with whom he had an alleged affair.
This high-profile arrest served brought back into the public mind many more of Trump’s alleged affairs and allegations of sexual misconduct against him. Needless to say, it can be difficult for the average person to keep all of this straight, but that’s where we come in.

1977: Marriage to Ivana
In 1977, Donald Trump married Ivana Trump. She would come to become one of the most influential people in his life, giving birth to three of his children: Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric Trump.
Late 1970s: Allegations of sexual misconduct
There have been allegations of sexual misconduct against Donald Trump since the late 1970s. That was when a flight attendant named Jessica Leeds alleged that Trump put his hand up her skirt and began groping her. This is one of the earliest allegations of misconduct against Trump, but it certainly wouldn’t be the last.
1991: Divorce from Ivana
Although Donald Trump seemed happy with Ivana in his own way, his eye soon wandered, and he began having an affair with Marla Maples. In 1991, Donald and Ivana got divorced, but only after the tabloids had a field day mocking Trump and his affair.

1993: Marriage to Marla Maples
By 1993, things had gotten very serious between Donald Trump and Marla Maples. In fact, the two had a child together, and Tiffany Trump was born in 1993, shortly before Donald Trump tied the knot with Marla.
1990s: Another major allegation
Columnist E. Jean Carroll alleges that Donald Trump sexually assaulted her within her Bergdorf Goodman dressing room in the mid-’90s. While all eyes are currently on Trump’s current big trial, this matter will also be going to trial on April 25.
1997: Divorce from Marla
It seems that for Donald Trump, the chase was more thrilling than the conquest when it came to Marla Maples. The two ended up getting divorced in 1997, and Tiffany Trump soon became the child that Donald spent the least amount of time with.
1998: Meeting Melania
Despite somebody known for his many alleged affairs, Donald Trump is someone who seems to enjoy being part of a committed relationship. And in 1998, he met a young model named Melania Knauss. Things got very serious between them, and a few years later, she was going by a different name altogether: Melania Trump.

2005: Marriage to Melania
After spending a few years of intermittent dating, Donald Trump and Melania tied the knot in 2005. Together, the two have one child together, Barron Trump. Sadly, Melania had no way of knowing that the same year that Donald married her, he would be recorded saying something that would haunt him for the entirety of his life.
2005: The infamous ‘Access Hollywood’ recording
Back in 2005, Trump was being recorded by Access Hollywood. While the audio wouldn’t be made public until Trump’s first presidential run, he was recorded saying that he liked “grab” women “by the p—y” and that he could easily get away with it because “when you’re a star they let you do it.” Ever since this audio went public, many have considered it a smoking gun in which Donald Trump casually admitted to sexually assaulting women on a regular basis.
2005-2007: Allegations of further sexual misconduct
As with the Access Hollywood tape, we wouldn’t hear about some of these other allegations against Donald Trump until years later, but they paint a very grim picture. For example, it was in July of 2006 that Trump allegedly had an affair with pornstar Stormy Daniels and allegedly paid her hush money to stay quiet about it. And former Playboy model Karen McDougal claimed she had an affair with Trump in June of 2006.
Those affairs are notable for many reasons, including the fact they allegedly happened so close to the birth of Barron Trump. And more women kept coming forward with their stories, including Natasha Stoynoff saying Trump shoved his tongue down her throat when she interviewed him in 2005 and Apprentice contestant Summer Zervos claiming that Trump kissed and groped her in 2007.
To make matters worse, multiple Miss USA and Miss Universe contestants claimed that Trump liked to inspect and grope them. Collectively, this painted a picture of Trump as a serial predator, but he has continued to deny all of these allegations against him.
2023: Decision to indict Donald Trump
Flash-forward to 2023 and the unthinkable has happened: a New York grand jury made the decision to indict a former president. The charges stem from the notion that Donald Trump committed crimes in order to cover up elements of his past that would have hurt his election chances, including the affair with Stormy Daniels. Trump surrendered himself into custody on April 4, and the only thing both his supporters and detractors can do at this point is wait and see how things play out in a court of law.
