Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik welcomed a baby girl into the world in September. Now, thanks to a simple update to her Instagram profile, Hadid has revealed their baby’s name.
Instead of making a big deal or a public spectacle about the name, Hadid simply added two words to her Instagram bio. And those two words are “Khai’s mom.”
Aside from making that update, neither Hadid nor Malik has said anything about the significance of the name. But it looks like this name may have some symbolic importance that dates back to Ancient Egypt!
During that time, the word “khai” could refer to either the rising of the sun or the coronation of a new ruler. This may mean the happy couple sees their daughter as the coming of royalty. Or, more simply, they see her as a source of light and comfort in their own lives.
