Ben Affleck, 48, was by Jennifer Lopez’s side while she celebrated her 52nd birthday in St. Tropez, France on Saturday, July 24. The following day, Lopez shared her first photo of her and Affleck to her Instagram channel, thus making them Instagram-official. Lopez, who has refused to comment on her rekindled relationship with Affleck after a 17-year hiatus, was perhaps emboldened by her friend Leah Remini’s post of the couple last week, which marked their Instagram debut.
Lopez snuck a photo of her and Affleck kissing in the last slide of a carousel of photos of her in a bikini celebrating her 52nd birthday. “5 2 … what it do …💗 ” Lopez captioned the post.
Not long after Lopez and Affleck went Instagram-official, The Daily Mail reported they were spotted on a $130 million yacht, inadvertently recreating a famous scene from Lopez’s 2002 music video “Jenny from the Block.”
As for Lopez’s birthday itself, she and Affleck were spotted celebrating at L’Opéra restaurant in St. Tropez.
“The past few months have been a real whirlwind,” an insider revealed to Us Weekly earlier this month. “They’re well aware some cynics still look at it as a big flashy attention grab and roll their eyes at the speed of it all, but it doesn’t faze them one iota. They’re fully committed to taking the next steps and spending the rest of their lives together.”
Lopez and Affleck were spotted house-hunting last week in Los Angeles, and toured a $65 million mansion. Lopez, who lives in Miami, is reportedly looking to move in with Affleck in a new home.
