Trump Debuts a Bold New Hairstyle: Fans Divided Over the Change

Donald Trump has long been known for his distinctive hair, but 2024 seems to be a year of bold experiments. The former president recently revealed a fresh new hairstyle, leaving many wondering if they miss his signature combover.

Attorney and political commentator Ron Filipkowski shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) capturing Trump at his country club on December 17, 2024. The event took place at the Trump International Golf Club in Palm Beach, where he accepted the “Founding Father Award.” In the clip, Trump’s hairstyle appeared noticeably different from his usual look. Gone was the familiar bleach-blonde combover. Instead, he opted for a slick-back style, with the sides gelled down and the top quaffed for a shorter, polished appearance.

While Trump has occasionally surprised the public with changes to his hair, his consistent wild blonde look has been a trademark. Some speculate that this new style reflects a personal experiment or an attempt to address insecurities about his hair.

The Founding Father Award and Mt. Rushmore Comparisons

Trump’s Founding Father Award was presented by Moms for America, a conservative organization founded in 2004 with a mission to “empower moms, promote liberty, and raise patriots to heal America from the inside out.” During the ceremony, the presenter praised Trump, stating, “You’re not a founder, but you saved America, and if it wasn’t for you, we don’t know where we’d be today. So, thank you very much for your service.”

The event sparked renewed conversation about past discussions of Trump’s potential addition to Mt. Rushmore. Filipkowski humorously noted in his video caption that supporters believe Trump’s contributions to America warrant a place on the monument. This idea has been floated before. In 2020, rumors circulated after The New York Times reported Trump suggested to South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem that he wanted his face carved into Mt. Rushmore. Trump denied making the request but quipped on X that “based on all of the many things accomplished during the first 3 1/2 years, perhaps more than any other presidency, sounds like a good idea to me!”

A Divisive New Look

Whether this hairstyle marks a permanent change or just a brief experiment, Trump’s bold choice has certainly caught public attention. As supporters continue to rally behind him—even petitioning for his likeness on Mt. Rushmore—it’s clear that Donald Trump’s every move, from policy to personal style, remains a hot topic of conversation.
