Donald Trump Confirms Barron Sealed The 2024 Election?

Who do you think is most responsible for Donald Trump winning the 2024 presidential election? Some credit Trump himself, believing that the political instincts that helped him win big in 2016 helped him do so again eight years later. Others “credit” the Democrats, saying that if they had replaced Joe Biden sooner, the new contender would have been able to perform much better than Kamala Harris did.

However, one surprising theory is that Trump’s victory may be courtesy of his son. It was reportedly Barron Trump who insisted that his father appear on podcasts popular with younger voters, including the Joe Rogan Experience. Considering that the president did better with younger voters than expected, it’s hard not to consider that this theory may be true.

Now, it seems like even Donald Trump is hinting that Barron helped him win. Just what did the older Trump say, and what does this mean for young Barron’s political savvy? Keep reading to find out!’

It all started with Kamala Harris

Weirdly enough, Donald Trump’s possible admission that Barron helped him win the election began with a conversation about Kamala Harris. In an Air Force One interview with Outkick founder Clay Travis, the media mogul mentioned the possibility of Kamala Harris running to become governor of California. Surprisingly, instead of insulting his former political rival, Trump decreed that “I’d let her run.”

Afterward, Travis asked if the president had any political advice for Harris. At first, Trump didn’t want to speak on this matter, but he eventually responded, “One thing she’s gotta do, she’s gotta start doing interviews.”

This seems fairly simple as political advice goes. However, many feel that this was Donald Trump’s way of acknowledging that his son’s advice helped him win the 2024 election.

The possible truth behind Donald Trump’s words

In Trump’s statement to Outkick, he didn’t mention Barron Trump by name. Why, then, do so many supporters think this was the president’s way of giving his son a shout-out? Reportedly, Barron Trump was responsible for getting his father to go on various podcasts during his presidential campaign. Most famously, this included an appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast…the same podcast that Kamala Harris refused to go on.

Subsequently, Trump ended up winning the election. His victory shocked some critics who thought that Kamala Harris would win or, at the very least, offer a significant challenge to his foe. Instead, he did better than expected across the board, including with younger voters who are likeliest to listen to podcasts.

Therefore, Donald Trump giving Harris the advice to do more interviews may be his way of acknowledging what a good idea Barron had. And considering that the president was giving this interview aboard Air Force One, he’s living proof of how effective this strategy really is.

Barron Trump: the Gen Z ambassador

While many different demographics showed surprising levels of support for Donald Trump, it was Generation Z that surprised everyone the most. Historically, younger people tend to vote for Democrats rather than Republicans. This time, Gen Z men showed up in surprising numbers to help Trump achieve victory.

Moreover, the president knows it: in a late 2024 interview with Fox News, the president said that his son helped pick who he should and should not hold interviews with. “He tells me about all the ‘hot’ guys, people I’ve never heard of.” Considering that the gambit worked, many are now calling the youthful Barron by a different name: the Gen Z ambassador.

Possible proof that Barron helped his father win

At this point, you might be a bit skeptical. After all, Donald Trump may have appeared on these podcasts Barron recommended and may have won big with Generation Z. But correlation doesn’t always equal causation, so how do we know if was Barron’s advice that really tipped the scales in his father’s favor?

According to research from Fast Company, a crucial factor in Trump’s election night victory was his podcast appearances. That’s because these appearances helped him successfully appeal to the kinds of younger voters who typically don’t vote Republican. It seems like Barron might very well have his father’s instincts…after all, without his advice, Trump might not be in the White House right now!

From podcast guest to the presidency

Does all of this mean that Barron Trump is a political genius? Not necessarily. However, it may mean that he figured something important out early on: namely, that the most important medium has changed. Decades ago, JFK, Jr., triumphed over Richard Nixon because he focused on television as a way of reaching people. Now, Donald Trump triumphed over Kamala Harris in part because he focused on appealing to voters via podcasts.

At a glance, it’s hard to believe that something as simple as appearing on podcasts may have sealed the deal on Trump’s election victory. But we then started thinking about how many hours a day we listen to our favorite hosts while we drive, clean, and everything in between. Simply put, Trump went where the people were, a gamble that brought him all the way back to the White House.

And unless the Democrats are willing to gamble as well, they may forever be trailing Trump when it comes to political power and support.
