Kanye West and Irina Shayk have broken up, according to People.
The “Stronger” rapper and the Russian supermodel’s relationship “was never a serious thing that took off,” a source told the outlet.
The pair were first spotted together in Paris in June, celebrating West’s 44th birthday, and had reportedly been quietly dating for months. Shayk, 35, shares a three-year-old daughter with ex Bradley Cooper.
The budding relationship may have been hindered by long-distance. A source told People the L.A.-based West, who has recently been living in Atlanta, “has no plans to move to NYC” where Shayk lives.
“Kanye has been busy working and spending time with his kids,” another source said. “This is his focus. He doesn’t have time to date right now. He finds Irina amazing though. They remain friendly.”
West has been working hard to deliver his thrice-delayed album Donda, and even temporarily lived in an Atlanta stadium after his July 22 listening party to continue work on the album. He held a second listening party for Donda, which is named after his late mother, on Aug. 5.
Now, a third listening party is scheduled to take place in Chicago on Thursday, Aug. 26. Donda is set to release the following day, according to a listing on Apple Music. The album was supposed to come out after each of its previous listening parties.
Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian is showing her support for Donda. On Saturday, Kardashian posted a photo to her Instagram Story showing she was listening to mix test tracks of Donda on her iPhone.
The 40-year-old reality star, who filed for divorce from West in February, showed up to both of his listening parties with their four children: daughters North, 8, and Chicago, 3, and sons Saint, 5, and Psalm, 2.
The estranged exes were spotted getting lunch together in Malibu on Aug. 19, just two days before People reported West’s split from Shayk.
Donda is available to preorder on iTunes now.
