Harry & Meghan Have ‘No Regrets’ About Leaving the UK

It has been a whirlwind year for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as they left their royal responsibilities behind in March 2020 and started over in the U.S. One natural question many of their fans have had is whether these two regret leaving the U.K. As it turns out, they do not have any regrets over the matter!

We know this thanks to an insider who dished to Us Weekly. According to that insider, “Harry does not have any regrets.” In fact, Harry actually “feels liberated and excited about starting this new chapter.”

Harry and Meghan first lived in Los Angeles when they arrived in America. Later, they moved to the Montecito area of Santa Barbara, California, where they can live among other rich and famous neighbors.

And the move seems to have suited Harry just fine. The insider tells us Harry views moving to the U.S. “is the best decision he’s ever made.”

While the insider perspective is valuable, it shouldn’t be that shocking to fans of Harry and Meghan. In February 2021, we found out that they definitively would not be returning to the royal service. And shortly before that, Meghan confirmed she is pregnant with the couple’s second child, which she would presumably want to raise far away from the British media.

But that news pales in comparison to the bombshell interview Harry and Meghan had with Oprah Winfrey. In that interview, we discovered that the Royal Family sought to control Meghan and keep her quiet, with at least one family member expressing concern over the skin color of her son Archie before he was born.

Most shockingly of all, Meghan told Oprah that the stress from both the Royal Family and the British press made her consider self-harm. Therefore, moving away from these destructive forces was the best option she and Harry could exercise.

And both of them seem to be settling into American life quite nicely. In addition to media deals with companies such as Netflix and Spotify, Harry recently accepted a position as the Chief Impact Officer of BetterUp, a startup focusing on employee coaching and mental health.
